FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What’s inside a Be genki product?
We know that everything is connected. That everything has an affect on something else; an action can impact the environment, an emotion can infiltrate your body.
That’s why we choose ingredients and methods that work with the environment, not against it. With products that work with your body and life, and not against it.
We make choices that bring about harmony, not chaos.
That’s why our products are:
• 100% natural and organic
• Free-from genetically modified ingredients
• Vegan & Cruelty-free
Where are Be genki products made?
We’re Australian made and owned. It’s how we get to guarantee everything that comes in and everything that goes out of our warehouse is the best quality.
Be genki BALANCE is made in Australia at a lab that has strict quality control processes. All production is meticulously monitored by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Every batch of ingredient is tested to ensure identification, purity and the highest quality. The facility adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for dietary supplements. You can be rest assured that quality of ingredients, production and delivery are our utmost priority.
The Be genki CALM Collection is made by hand, in small batches, by our founder - Samantha - when she's feeling joyful, to ensure the products you receive are fresh and energetically 'clean'. Part of her ritual, once all the organic oils arrive, is to position them within a giant one-metre-tall amethyst crystal cave for 24 hours (yes, we’re serious). She then blends all products in a special lab, surrounded by rose quartz, quartz, citrine and amethyst crystals. Superstition or not, it’s our way of making sure we give you the best quality and best energetically balanced products.
What are your products packaged in?
Be genki BALANCE is packaged in a recyclable cardboard box, made in Australia from a sustainable source of raw materials. We chose to support our local Aussie industry, as opposed to out-sourcing a cheaper box from overseas. We love to support local, where possible.
Be genki CALM products are packaged in Miron violet glass to ensure the potency and life force of the ingredients are protected for you to experience fresh once opened. Did you know that experiments were done in 2003, 2004 and 2008 by Hugo J Niggli that showed violet glass preserves the stored solar energy - biophotons - of oil and herbs much better than clear, green, blue and brown glass?
"Products stored in violet glass retain more biophotons and as a result have a higher inner quality and can be kept longer without the addition of chemicals." - Biophotons. Source of Light for Energy and Wellbeing by Yvonne Sangen and Karin Tazelaar
Are your essential oils therapeutic grade?
Yes, but please don't be fooled, conned or deceived by the aromatherapy industry. Some companies make outrageous claims about how their oils are certified therapeutic grade, or indigenous, or better quality than any other brand out there. You name it, I've read it. Whilst there is a hint of truth in these 'marketing tag lines', because the essential oil industry is most certainly corrupt. There are a lot of essential oils out there that are adulterated, of poor quality, or lack the active constituents that provide therapeutic qualities due to being grown in depleted soils or with pesticides and other toxic sprays. So, yes, it is sensible to be mindful and cautious where you purchase essential oils from.
All of the essential oils that are used within Be genki products are sourced from reputable and ethical suppliers, each independently certified by the ACO (Australian Certified Organic). Furthermore, they all comply with high standards of appearance, colour, odour, and undergo in-depth testing to produce chromatographic profiles for the various components within each essential oil that ensures therapeutic quality assurance, purity of natural elements and the assurance that no toxicity or contaminants are present. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
And yes, there are some wonderful, ethical, fabulous essential oil brands out there. If you're interested in single note essential oils, please don't hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org so she can recommend her favourites.

I could keep listing more, but I think you get the point.
Why isn't Be genki - the brand - certified organic?
Quite frankly, because we'd prefer to use the $$ that it takes to obtain certification status on investing in high quality ingredients for your benefit.
Furthermore, we find the whole certification industry a wee bit confusing and misleading to consumers. Each certification body has a different list of 'allowable' (aka potentially irritating and harmful) ingredients that we wouldn't dream of including in our products. Many brands who lay claim to the organic label use a combination of organic ingredients and non-organic ingredients. The reality is that organic ingredients are more expensive (sometimes 3 or 4 times as much as non-organic) so they skimp on the good stuff but still charge a premium price for the product. Not cool!
Conventionally grown plant extracts are highly likely to be contaminated with pesticide residue, known endocrine disruptors and carcinogens. Conventional farming (with the use of pesticides, fungicides and other toxic sprays) is detrimental to the health of the earth, the bees, our waterways and the entire of existence.
That’s why we ONLY choose organic and wildcrafted for ALL of our botanical ingredients, being mindful about who and where we source from.
